Dear Life, I spent most of the past week in bed feeling depressed. There is no escaping all the human emotions when you deal with cancer. Weariness hit me after hearing “uterine cancer and surgery”. A heating pad and Netflix were my daily companions. Fortunately, the “week of darkness” lifted when I woke yesterday. Plans to stay with a friend after surgery helped me feel better. Another friend is organizing meals and visits once I get home.
It’s a new day. It’s a long journey. I am not alone.
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

The loving kindness you offer all of your life is a work of beauty that lightens my own heart, lightens in both senses of the word and for which I am utterly grateful.
