Love Letter to Life 12.02.2022 Network of Support

Dear Life, My life is filled with care and support from loving people. Cancer has thrown me into new worlds and networks of hardworking medical professionals, support groups, family and friends. I was on a sidewalk and heard my voice. A friend I had not seen in years was walking towards me and enthusiastically thanked me for The Love Letters. “I read them and you inspire me.” I did not know. My Spirit knew I needed a lift. And out came Page from Wild Birds Unlimited. Thank you.

Love Letter to Life 12.01.2022 Ascended

Dear Life, A friend, Pamela Thompson (5th), sent me this photo of a group visiting Star Axis, Charles Ross’ (center) Earth Project in NM. My dear friend Virginia Dwan (2nd) has a staircase ascending behind her. We spoke often, almost daily. Our conversations ranged from the daily-ness of living to art and men and spiritual pursuits and “where do you want to go for dinner.” Laughter often sprinkled our words. She left this world in September. Missing a good friend. What’s for dinner in heaven?

Love Letter to Life 11.29.2022 My Biker Look

Dear Life, My hair is growing. Last year at this time, I was bald and wearing a wig. This new “biker look” is in honor of my “baby” brother Dave, who has Covid and rides a Harley. Sending you lots of love and healing energy so you can be back on your feet and motorcycle. Get well soon, Bro!

Love Letter to Life 11.28.2022 Light of Gratitude

Dear Life, The Holiday Season is well underway. My childhood was steeped in family traditions and celebrations. Mom, even in lean times, had a Christmas Club savings that resulted in colorfully wrapped gifts beneath the tree. Miles and years between then and now bring me to this day. What can I bring to the spirit of the season? I will begin with gratitude, the light shining on all the gifts of Life.

Love Letter to Life 11.26.2022 Truth Makes Us Happy

Dear Life, Last night at a meeting, I said, “I am still alive. My Higher Power must want me here for something.” The group laughed and felt joyful. Truth does that. I feel joy and gratitude to be alive, sober, and living in beautiful northern New Mexico. I am grateful to be an artist. I embrace and express my creative spirit.

Love Letter to Life 11.24.2022 Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Life, The kitchen opens early today with Chef Violet, my beautiful grand-niece. I am grateful for my family. Sending love across the miles to them. I am grateful for my friends in Santa Fe, everyone near and far, for all the love I feel. Here’s a big air hug and many good wishes coming right at you!

Love Letter to Life 11.23.2022 Relax Reconnect Rediscover

Dear Life, The day before Thanksgiving is generally not very relaxing for many people who are traveling, preparing meals, working, plus the above. My morning message: Remember to breathe into each moment, live into whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re doing it, and with whomever you’re doing it with. Sending love out to everyone everywhere.
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

Love Letter to Life 11.22.2022 Blood and Guts

Dear Life, My mind is on high alert each day watching my body. It’s a job Cancer gave it. Treatments come and go and continue. I am thankful I no longer have chemotherapy, by infusion or orally. Both turned my body beyond upside down. I am grateful for the immunotherapy trial drugs. They have limited side effects and have kept me on the planet. I am grateful for the medical professionals that I see today who work tirelessly to help so many patients. I am grateful for my community. Thank you.

Love Letter to Life 11.20.2022 “I Have Nothing To Say”

Dear Life, A friend said “You haven’t written a Love Letter in a few days.” I replied, “I have nothing to say.” I also told her I had given up on the idea of having “a new experience” of love. She suggested I think about online dating. Hmm. Later I thought about these comments. Health and Romance. The Love Letters started in Dec 2018 after an 11 day stint in the hospital. I had written hundreds of “love letters” to My Beloved, a phantom. I decided it was time to write a Love Letter to Life and express my gratitude.
Life, you are a mystery. A powerful force within and around me. Thanks for this day.
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose
