Love Letter to Life 09.06.2022 Live In The Moment

Dear Life, The message loud and clear today is to LIVE IN THE MOMENT. I’m going to the Farmer’s Market, working in the studio, and going to a 12 Step meeting. I live best when I have focus, structure, community… and stay in my lane, in the moment.
Beautiful transition of seasons.

Love Letter to Life 09.03 2022 Home Is In The Heart

Dear Life, Whenever I travel, I always place my hand on my heart and remember, HOME IS IN MY HEART. Whether I’m going to the grocery store or to Italy, I like to remember that.

Love letter to life 09.02.2022 PRM

Dear Life, Last night I took this selfie while walking in my hood. Santa Fe at this time of year is perfect. Light, temperatures, and after all the rains, I love to see everything growing everywhere. There are thousands of sunflowers. Happy me.

Love Letter to Life 09.01.2022 A New Calendar

Dear Life, I love the feel of a book in my hands including a good, old-fashion datebook. I found this compact one while on vacation in CT. I started collaging its pages and will continue to do so. Today, the calendar is full: Physical Therapy 9-10am. I’ll be evaluated. The goal: Strength and Endurance. Studio 11-2pm. I’m making miniature paintings. Client Meeting 2:20-3:30pm. I’m back in business, helping people to beautify their home. Then I’m having “linner” with a friend at Jambo Cafe 4-5:30pm. Treatment on Tuesday went well. Took a day to recover. I’m grateful to be living!

Love Letter to Life 08.30.2022 Feel the Love

Dear Life, I see the oncologist at 8:30 then have an immunotherapy infusion of PEMBRO. During the treatment, I can sit quietly and think about my beautiful niece, Kelsey, pictured here at 5 years old visiting me in Santa Fe. She’s in her thirties now, married with two beautiful children. Kelsey is a great mom and loving light in the my world.
I am so grateful for her, family and friends. Feel the Love.

Love Letter to Life 08.29.2022 Bloodwork Today

Dear Life, I’ve enjoyed a 6-week reprieve from bloodwork and treatments. Today I get bloodwork. Tomorrow I see oncologist and receive Immunotherapy infusion. Acceptance is key. The medical trail I’m in is extensive and goes until January 2024. That means being in Santa Fe, the only USA location, to receive treatments. I’m grateful I love living here. My daughter and family are all in the east. Tracy is visiting in October. YaY!

Love Letter to Life 08.27.2022 Road Trip

Dear Life, Today I’ll be going on a road trip to Taos to see a friend’s art exhibit and to go stone-hunting. Friends and Northern New Mexico. Art and Earth. The perfect medicine for my mind and body. And, of course, snacks. Thank you for this day and everything in it.

Love Letter to Life 08.25.2022 Breathe and Love

Dear Life, There’s a lot going on in my world. I need the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can (ME and what I can affect) and the wisdom to know the difference. Innovation is not just creating new “things”. It’s also creating new ways of being conscious and then contributing with actions. Innovation makes me a better person and hopefully the world around me a little better.

Love Letter to Life 08.24.2022 My Eyes, My Insight

Dear Life, There have been many physical symptoms leading up to and during Lymphoma. The first occurred 4 years ago: a red bumpy rash breaking out around my eyes and cheeks. It reappears every so often and it’s back. The dermatologist prescribed a steroid ointment that is working. Cancer affects every part of the body and mind. I need quiet time, life-affirming activities, medical care and support to counter-balance all the effects of the disease and treatments.
