Love Letter to Life 08.02.2022 Artist Home

Dear Life, It was wonderful to visit the Weir Farm in Wilton, CT yesterday. I lived in the caretakers house in 1992. The Andrew’s family owned the estate and willed it to the National Historic Park services as the first Artist Park. An amazing place and property.

Love Letter to Life 08.01.2022 “It’s in your genes”.

Dear Life, We had a family picnic at my sister’s house. My nieces with their husbands and kids came, my mother, Rosie, and my daughter, Tracy. Rosie sat with Tracy, telling her stories. Then said, “Intelligence and beauty are in your genes”. Tracy replied, “ Now I know where that comes from”. Rosie takes the credit for all our good characteristics. At 92 years old, she’s still sharp as a pin, so we give her the credit with smiles!

Love Letter to Life 07.31.2022 Until Next Year

Love Letter to Life 07.31.2022 Until Next Year
Dear Life, Leaving the Lake House in Maine is always bittersweet. Alix and Gary have created a refuge for peace, fun, and relaxation. It’s one of my “ happy places”. I’ll be returning next year with my sister Arlene and my daughter, Tracy, who is running a half-marathon in Acadia National Park June 4th, 2023. Happens to be up the road! I’m blessed to be able to make plans a year out. My life has changed dramatically. I’m so grateful.

Love Letter to Life 08.16.2022 Sisters Before and After

Dear Life, When I turned 50 years old, Arlene and I celebrated by going to the The Regency Spa, an all-natural resort on the Atlantic coast in FL. We stayed 8 days improving our health and well-being: no sugar, no meat, no caffeine, no alcohol, exercise and health lectures everyday. Yes, we enjoyed it! On the last day, we went to a hip South Beach salon and had hair makeovers. We both liked our “before’s” better! Then we ate pasta and ice cream and drank coffee!

Love Letter to Life 07.30.2022 Lovefest

Dear Life, When family meets friends and a “lovefest” happens, the world becomes a little bit better place to live for everyone. Sun setting, souls loving, and the table was set to play my favorite game: Aggravation. My smile says it all. I’m a happy camper!

Love Letter to Life 07.29.2022 Sisters On Vacation

Love Letter to Life 07.29.2022 Sisters On Vacation
Dear Life, Sue took this photo as Arlene and I were leaving her beautiful home in Portland to drive up to The Lake House. We’re having a terrific time with friends. I’m so happy to be on a vacation after 2 1/2 years of intense cancer treatments. Last summer was spent in the hospital. My appreciation of family, friends, and welcoming homes is beyond words. My skin is sun-kissed. My heart is filled with gratitude and love. Thank you.

Love Letter to Life 07.28.2022 Adult Camp at the Lake

Dear Life, I’m in heaven! Arrived in Orland, Maine yesterday after a wonderful visit with Sue Sturtevant in Portland. Staying with my good friend Alix and Gary along with Arlene. The beauty is awesome and the love immense. There’s kayaks, a canoe, cards, games and great food. I’m one happy camper, of course, in a queen size bed with soft cotton sheets!
I love life.

Love Letter to Life 07.27.2022 Wind In My Sails

Dear Life, My friend, Sue Sturtevant, sent me her photo of this schooner off the shore of Portland, Maine. Arlene and I are headed there today. We will have lunch with Sue in Portland then head north to Orland where we will stay for a few days at a friends lake house. Adult Summer Camp. Beautiful weather and fine friends.
The wind of love is in my sails.

Love Letter to Life 07.26.2022 Rosie, The Fashionista

Dear Life, I took a red-eye flight on Sunday to NYC. Arlene picked me up and I’m with family in Connecticut. Visited our mother yesterday who is going strong and looking sharp at 92 years old. Love the star Tee with sun and moon necklaces! A Fashionista! In the evening, my daughter Tracy visited. At 9:00 pm, we went outside in Arlene’s backyard to watch the FIREFLIES. I was over the moon standing between my daughter and sister.
More photos to come, I promise!
