Dear Life, Yesterday was a “first”; a Virtual Reality experience watching Violet play in a VR space. She chose a game where she could work at different jobs. Violet is 7 years-old and preparing for her future! Today we are having a birthday party for Max, who is 9, and DJ turning 6. There will be a treasure hunt, games, gifts, great food, cakes, ice cream and lots of NOISE being made by 18 people celebrating at the big outside party! Pray no rain!

Dear Life, Days of a heat wave in the East made me run to the beach or be in air-conditioning. Friday, Saturday and Monday “beached it” with the glamorous Violet and beautiful daughter Tracy. Sunday took a scenic drive to Cold Spring, NY and met my bestie, Jay Dee. We had a long overdue face-to-face visit at art museums Tuesday, went mall-walking and, alas, shopping. Ready for more fun with friends and family. I am grateful for this time of optimum health, never taken for granted when living with Lymphoma cancer.

Dear Life, On Monday, a visit to New Hope, PN was filled with creative people. Lillo, an extraordinary glass artist and I shared our “thriving” stories. Wonderful shopkeepers in beautiful stores are serving the community with hope. Everyone, when in the East, please stop in New Hope, PN and feel the love! I am now in CT staying with my sister, Arlene, and her husband. The “family treasures” include their daughter’s families with 6 grandchildren all under the age of 9. Ready to play!

Dear Life, My road trip is now officially name “The Treasure Trip”. I am happily meeting people as I travel through cities and towns. Some are friends and family but many are new “treasures”. I tell them I am on a summer road trip. They beam when I ask “Can I take a photo? You are a treasure”. Making memorable moments for myself and others sharing the love.

Dear Life, I am excited to work with my new Japanese watercolors and brushes. I made a color chart on Yupo paper and in book. Materials inspire me. They help to create new experiences in my art. I recommend getting a creative gift for your heart. Could be something small however charged with big energy. This beautiful set of watercolors is my Valentine gift to “self” charged with love and possibilities.

Dear Life, Happy to be held by a hand and heart of beautiful flowers while visiting with Esther in AZ. We laughed and walked and talked and “went wild” the way good friends hold one another with love. I’m excited that she will be setting up an “art table” to begin a Vision Board collage project. That’s what I’ll be doing today in my Creative Expressions class. Here we go into 2025 with love, creativity, imagination, and community!

Dear Life, Five years ago today I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Large Cell Lymphoma. That evening, I received an email through Ancestry.com from my daughter who I had released for adoption 50 years earlier. We connected the next day and now have a strong, loving relationship. A miracle. I have been through Stem Cell Replacement, Immunotherapy, clinical trials and ongoing Chemotherapy/cancer drugs until Sep 2024 when my body said, “I need a break”. My bloodwork was normal yesterday. I feel the best I’ve felt in 5 years. I live a day at a time. Miracles are happening every day. Thank you Life.
