Love Letter to Life 07.08.2025 Route 1 Fun

Dear Life, The Treasure Trip continues. Tracy and I drove north along the Maine coast on Route 1. “Mom, turn the car around. I want to to see Jelly Belly!” A hard brake and pin-turn for our first photo shoot at Wilbur’s Chocolate Factory. We left with Chocolate Blueberries and smiles. Picnic lunch near a marsh, quaint small towns. Made our way through the Orland blueberry barrens to the lake house where Alix and Gary greeted us with open arms. Dinner on the screened-in porch then a few steps to the dock to watch the loons and moonrise. Evening ended playing Rummy 500. I moaned and laughed through a colossal loss. No more groaning. I am a champion of life!

Love Letter to Life 07.01.2025 It’s A Feeling

Dear Life, The mural sums up NYC. My sister and I took a train from Fairfield, CT into NYC where we had a “city” day. Grabbed a taxi to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and saw the incredible summer exhibits plus permanent collections. Afterwards walked through Central Park, hopped a subway to 34th St. and went to Macy’s flagship store, a shopper’s paradise. Strolled up 5th avenue to the iconic Grand Central Station where we enjoyed a three-course dinner at the terrific French restaurant, Grand Brasserie. Treasures all along the way, a New York City Day!

Love Letter to Life 06.30.2025 Joy and Peace

Dear Life, I left Santa Fe on June 4th, 27 days ago, for my Treasures Road Trip. I’ve been to 14 states, including Amelia Island, FL, Annapolis MD, New Hope, PN, Cold Spring, NY, and with family in CT. Days are full with parties, the beach, visiting friends, and going to 12-step meetings in Westport where I got sober over 44 years ago. So many memorable moments. I am relaxing, too. My body’s DNA says, “We are home”. I get into the hammock and swing!

Love Letter to Life 06.27.2025 Lucio Pozzi

Dear Life, I was a student at the School of Visual Arts, NYC in 1983. I studied painting and Lucio was an inspirational teacher offering guidance that continues to resonate throughout my creative work. I made the journey to Magazzino Italian Art Museum, Cold Spring, NY on the closing day of his exhibit to honor one of the “treasures” in my life and the art world. He turns 90 in November. Thank you Lucio for your spirit, work, and long life.

Love Letter to Life 06.23.2025 Remembering Mom

Dear Life, Today would be Rose Markoya’s 95th Birthday. She left this world August 21, 2024. I feel close to her as I visit family in CT and we share our stories of her life. Rosie, lovingly nicknamed, The Hungarian Tank, is with us in Spirit. Love and Miss You, Mom.

Love Letter to Life 06.21.2025 Summer Solstice

Dear Life, Nothing says SUMMER greater than a sunny day at the beach, especially when it’s the beach you grew up on. My DNA sends a smile through my whole being when I set foot on Fairfield Beach, CT. There’s a tingling sensation when returning “home”. My Soul loves living in Santa Fe, NM in the foothills of the mountains, but come summer, my body wants to be kissed by the sun and playing in the salt water waves. Happy Solstice!
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

Love Letter to Life 06.20.2025 Beautiful Blossoms

Dear Life, Connecting with people and being creative is what I value in my life. Feeling the love, smiling into eyes, meeting someone new and adding them to the “treasures”. I had fun drawing with Violet at the kitchen table. Had lunch with Michelle and Arlene at Terrain Cafe in Westport, CT where I once lived. Each day as I walk up the stairwell to the guest bedroom, I see Arlene’s incredible family portrait gallery, a series she is working on. My mind, body and spirit are happy.

Love Letter to Life 06.19 2025 Miles of Smiles

Dear Life, My niece, Kelsey, and her kids, Max and Violet, visited yesterday. I became Violet’s first collector with the purchase of her canvas painting. Another artist blooms in our family! Later I met my daughter, Tracy, at Marble Beach, and had the best Ginger Ice Cream cone served by Lily and Helen. Then took a walk and talk of 8000 steps on the boardwalk. Sun has finally made an appearance in CT. Heat wave of love!
