Love Letter to Life 02.11.2025 Normal Range

Dear Life, Blood results are in normal range and I am no longer anemic. This is a benchmark. I’ve been anemic since November 2018. Cancer patients live with multiple tests and scans and the question of what is next in terms of treatment. March 10th is next PetScan. I ate Rice Pudding with Whipped Cream to celebrate “normal”.
I affirm: “Don’t be afraid to spread your wings over the world”.
I am grateful for the artists Suleika Jaouad and Jon Batiste who show us how brilliantly to live our dreams.

Love Letter to Life 11.10.2024 Build Curiosity

Dear Life, When I feel the “energy drainers” hit me, I know it’s time to meet the challenge with creativity. Ask the hard questions then fearlessly (or with trepidation) open up to answers through curiosity, resiliency, unearthing disbelief, falling to pieces and then building a new container that lets the light come through the cracks. Yesterday I sat in my home studio and let my spirit find its way through collage and watercolor. The Chinese papers with torn and faded edges gave way to blue-black watercolor tears. Music (thank you, Jon Batiste) soothed the deep question… Are You There, God? I heard, YES.
