Dear Life, Today is the Life Celebration of my dear friend, Virginia King. Loved ones will gather in Nambe to share their memories. I am blessed to be amongst those who lived many moments with this inspirational and beautiful person, inside and out.

I too went a memorial service today. This was at UU Santa Fe, for Mary Margaret Neikirk. It was a wonderful service where a learned a whole lot more about her from her family and close friends. I knew her only a relatively short time.
Ironically, she was so humble, I never learned about her aptitude and love of educating others at the high school and college level, or her Phd in Education in Phys. Ed. All she talked about with me was her deep love and feelings for her family, something nothing else seemed to be of more importance to her. I had absolutely no idea she was even a jock!

It’s tough losing someone, especially someone so deeply close to you as Virgina was. But your memories of them will always be part of who you are.
Keep your memories close, and, as you do, be grateful for each day.
