Dear Life, A photo worth sharing again to express my love, happiness and gratitude for my sister, Arlene Lawrence, who arrived yesterday on a perfectly rainy day in Santa Fe, NM. She also shipped me a big container of Hunky Cookies, she freshly baked before leaving CT. Let the Sister’s In New Mexico tour continue. Today headed north to Abiquiu and El Rito Studio Tour with good friend Virginia King. Cookies Will Travel!

Dear Life, My sister, Arlene, arrives today to celebrate my birthday next week. She’s “in the air” from NYC. I woke early with excitement. Her presence will be an uplift.

Dear Life, Movie and TV screen writers are on strike but the “writer” of my life is busy penning a bizarre twist. The culture results of incision site on my thigh came back with a rare form of e-coli, not dangerous or contagious. The doctor tried to comfort me with “We all have e-coli and all kinds of strange things in our bodies. Because your body is compromised by cancer treatments infections can start.” I was prescribed an antibiotic. Throw that on top of the cancer and allergy meds and I feel like a zombie. Yves Klein illustrates this beautifully!

Dear Life, Allergies are disrupting my life. Coughing, day and night, prevents me from all-important sleep. Tiredness prevails during the day along with itchy eyes, post-nasal drip, runny nose. I take the usual medications, decongestant, antihistamine, and eye drops. Any advice from fellow sufferers? The pollens are taking me down!

Dear Life, Subaru “had me” with this ad. I cut it out of a magazine in 2019 and kept it within my eye’s view. Bought “Blue Angel” in 2022 and love it. This week I am getting ready for my sister’s arrival on Friday. Arlene is visiting for a week to celebrate my birthday on the 23rd. We are headed north to El Rito, NM for an art studio tour on Saturday, then south to Marfa TX on Sunday where we will hang out for several days. Road Trips! One day at a time. One trip at a time. Dear Life, The reunion with my daughter Tracy after 50 years of separation is a miracle gift in my life. I now celebrate Mother’s Day wholly. Tracy is a member of my family as I am her’s.
