Love Letter to Life 04.19.2023 Arlene

Dear Life, This is my beautiful sister, Arlene. After we visited our mother Rosie, Arlene took me to a unique restaurant in Oxford CT, Tracy and Tea. They offer a hundred kinds of teas, baked goods and delicious food. Of course, I want to take my daughter Tracy. Making new loving memories with family fills my life with love.

Love Letter to Life 04.18.2013Artist-at-Play

Dear Life, My sister, Arlene, set up a studio in her home. Yesterday she taught me how to use oil cold wax method. I immediately entered into the creative process. Arlene is a great artist and teacher. I’m grateful for the many experiences I’m having on vacation with family and friends.

Love Letter to Life 04.17.2023 Blossoms

Dear Life, We went for a walk around my sister’s neighborhood and saw all these blooms. The pond is active with large goldfish. Lawns being groomed. We played “toss the squishy ball into the target hole”. Big play-off to determine winner! Competing with 4 and 6 year olds is exciting. Lots of laughter. Rainy today so the “girls” are going walking at the new high-end mall for exercise. Getting those steps in while shopping!

Love Letter to Life 04.16.2023 Happy Daze

Dear Life, The temps this week were in the 70’s and 80’s. We went to the library, parks and beach during the week. Trees and flowers are blooming. Spring green is everywhere. Woke today to a dense fog after rain yesterday. The earth and my skin are happy. Moisture!

Love Letter to Life 04.14.2023 Rosie the Rabbit

Dear Life, Easter is in the rear view mirror but this photo of Mom is good. It was in the weekly news. Rosie will turn 93 in June. She still has “hop-pity” in her and a sharp mind. My sister is recording Mom’s life story in a book with questions. Early life was really hard, oldest of 7 children living through the Great Depression. Sometimes went to bed hungry. Always wore hand me downs. However, she and Lou, my father, made a better life for their children. History is told through stories. Don’t miss your chance to know yours.

Love Letter to Life 04.13.2023 Playing

Dear Life, Playing outside is fun! Maximus and Violet, my great-nephew and niece, are expert players. So much fun running, swinging, climbing, gymnastics, throwing balls and frisbees. My oncologist has said to me, “Movement is life.” My whole being is smiling with playing then deep sleep after active days. I’m grateful for the timing of this vacation. I feel strong and healthy. Happy to be here.

Love Letter to Life 04.12.2023 Miracle of Family

Dear Life, Christopher, Tracy and Laurel met me for dinner last night. My daughter and grandchildren. I am pinching myself! I see me in each of these beautiful people. Tracy was born in 1968, released for adoption and we reunited January 14th, 2020 through Ancestry the same day I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. The miracle of timing ignited my Mother Love and Life Force! Here we are having family fun.

Love Letter to Life 04.11.2023 Blossoms of Love

Dear Life, I’m so happy to be in CT with family during Spring. Temperatures and smiles are warm. Tulips, daffodils and blossoming trees are everywhere. Having fun with family and friends. Today my chemo meds arrive via FedEx. Treatment is like breathing. Necessary. Fortunately, Love is the great healer. I feel great, loving and loved.
