Love Letter to Life 10.31.2022 B O O!!!!!

Dear Life, I received three halloween photos before I woke: Mother Rosie in a witch’s hat rolling on her walker to breakfast in the assisted living dining room. Grandniece Violet decked out as an Hungarian Gypsy at school party. Sober Just For Today message: pic of a real Witch on a broomstick who collided into a telephone pole with a sign: Don’t Drink and Drive! Here’s a photo from my neighborhood where Tricksters will be out in packs tonight. I’ll be going for bloodwork with the Vampires at the Cancer Center! B O O!
Happy Halloween!

Love Letter to Life 10.30.2022 Inspiring One Another

Dear Life, I went to an art opening and saw the excellent work of Phyllis Ideal. As I thanked her, she thanked me, turning to others and saying, “Pamela is a daily inspiration”. She was referring to my Love Letters. I felt a wave of warmth go through me: appreciation. You never know when and who you are touching. So here I am this morning, with a new collage, symphonic poem painting and letter to life. I was not going to write anymore but Phyllis’ acknowledgment encouraged me. Hope you feel inspired!

PS That’s me 1992 ready to go flying over New Mexico and Colorado in a small plane. A wonderful adventure!

Love Letter to Life 10.26.2022 Spiritual Goofball

Dear Life, I walked to Downtown Subscription from home, sunlight warming my face, and body feeling strong. Hung out drinking Matcha Green Tea while talking to a new friend. He asked me, “Are you a Buddhist?” I laughed while saying, “No, I am a Buddha, a Spiritual Goofball!” I’m grateful to have my walking legs moving, my mind engaged in conversation, and a sense of humor about myself and life. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Love Letter to Life 10.25.2022 Final Storage Decision

Dear Life, My mind and body could not handle the Rubik’s Cube problems of switching storage units. Friends with wisdom said, “Pamela, this is when you spend the money and save yourself a lot of stress”. So my things can breathe easy in their spacious storage unit for another year or until I move somewhere with more room/garage. I spent the afternoon in bed where I needed to be, resting, sleeping, and dreaming of warm weather.

Love Letter to Life 10.24.2022 Rubik’s Cube Day

Dear Life, It’s a lovely 35 degrees out. Dress warm. At noon I begin moving my storage from a 10′ x 10′ space into a 5′ x 15′ space in order to save significant money. We will be finding out how “climate-controlled” the storage building really is. And how good I am at solidifying my stuff into a Rubik’s Cube. In the photo taken from my former loft (I miss it) please note the red light on the big building that could be seen from out my loft window. That’s the Storage. Close to my “old” home!

Love Letter to Life 10.22.2022 Check This Out and Go

Dear Life, Everyone in Santa Fe, please go to this website www.entreflamenco.com and check out the amazing Flamenco happening on your doorstep… or more accurately, two flights up at 135 West Palace Ave. I went to their show last night and was lifted to the stars. Flamenco is so powerful and passionate. Good for my soul after such a long period of quarantine. Tables are widely spaced so I felt safe.
Thank you Jerry Lopez for an amazing night!

Love Letter to Life 10.21.2022 Open The Door

Dear Life, I am Day Two of a 30 Day Discovery Program called “Surrender Pamela”. Who and what shows up when I let go of “Pamela’s Plan” and live inside of the moment, letting the day unfold, listening to intuition and trusting the guidance I receive. This is a real deal, living experience as opposed to lip service and thinking about spirituality. I felt leaves crunch beneath my feet as I walked through my neighborhood and took photos.
Felt magical.

Love Letter to Life 10.20.2022 Junk Mail

Dear Life, I picked up my mail and here’s what I found: A pile of junk along with a couple of lovely cards and a bill for storage: price going up from $125 to $164 per month. My mind blew up! I complained to friends. I called storage; they didn’t return call. I jumped on Zillow looking for a bigger house to put all my stuff in. In other words, I reacted. This morning in meditation I heard the words, “Don’t become the junk mail”. How easy it is to slip into “the price of living is raising daily” and complain. This thinking robs me of the joy and abundance that is in my life. Shift perspective and speak with storage manager to negotiate that monthly price!
