Dear Life, Yesterday I had an Immunotherapy infusion. I sat down and the nurse connected me with the drugs through my port (the device in my chest for drugs to go into and for taking out blood when needed in large quantities). Each time requires courage and fearlessness. PEMBRO is a trial drug. Next week, I have a PetScan so we can see what’s happening inside of me. We’re looking for clear results. Please be with me on this one.

Dear Life, As the sunsets come earlier each evening, I smile thinking about the summer. I had an excellent vacation visiting family in CT and friends in Maine, good news from scans about cancer clearing out of my body (more scans are next week), day trips in NM with friends, and many days with my dear mentor Virginia Dwan before her passing. I am grateful for the opportunity to live a rich, creative, love-filled life.

Dear Life, In my morning meditation and writing, I asked myself, In perfect trust, what would I do? Am I open to change? Open to what is? Do I believe in divinely inspired outcomes? Are my Body and Mind living in alignment with Spirt? Or am I praying words and acting mindlessly? This morning my Body said, “Please don’t rush.” My Spirit agreed and made me smile when I fell from my lofty thinking into my pillows! I am a Spiritual Goofball!

Dear Life, I had an immunotherapy treatment on Tuesday. The drugs are powerful. They need to be. I am generally tired for a few days afterward. Woke feeling better this morning. I am reminded in order to soar in life, I need to rest in my nest. I’ve been resting.

Dear Life, Today is my daughter’s birthday. I am filled with love and joy to have her in my life after 52 years of separation. Tracy was born on this day a beautiful, healthy baby. I was fifteen years old. My parents decided that she be released for adoption. Tracy and I met on 01.14.2020 through Ancestry. Our DNA said, “100% match”. She and her children are a gift in my life. My family expanded and is giving me a new experience of love. Thank you!

Dear Life, Virginia Dwan was a mentor and friend for over forty years. She left this world a week ago but her light will continue to shine through all the people, places, and things that she touched. This photo was taken 2017 at Star Axis, Charles Ross’s earthwork in New Mexico. We traveled many miles together and our Spirits will continue the journey forevermore.

Dear Life, I’m living vicariously through my sister who is on a yoga retreat in Italy, staying at a farm near the sea. I receive photos of incredible sights, people, and gatherings for meals at a long picnic table in an outdoor kitchen. Wonderful food. Heaven. Today I have Physical Therapy, strengthening my body’s endurance for future trips to Italy and beyond!

Dear Life, The message loud and clear today is to LIVE IN THE MOMENT. I’m going to the Farmer’s Market, working in the studio, and going to a 12 Step meeting. I live best when I have focus, structure, community… and stay in my lane, in the moment.
