Love Letter to Life 03.18.2022 And The Oscar Goes To…

Dear Life, During the past few years of health issues and treatments, I’ve honored all the medical professionals and patients I’ve met. Thank you for your fierce commitment, dedication, strength, and dignity. I have witnessed miracles, experienced trials and tribulation, and traveled many hope-filled miles with this community who are always hard at work looking for ways to help patients and find cures for diseases.
You are the Stars Beyond Measure! The Oscar goes to you!
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

Love Letter to Life 03.16.2022 Surprise Results

Dear Life, Dr Herbert said, “We have reason to celebrate.” The large lymphoma lesions have shrunk by 37%, the small ones are gone and there is no new growth. Blood counts are within the margin of good. Our eyes locked in smiles as our fists pounded one another. The “treatments are working”. Hence, I’ll remain in the low-dose chemo group for now along with immunotherapy infusions and vaccines. I give thanks to my excellent medical team, strong Body and amazing Life Force that feel the love and support from everyone.
Cause to celebrate life!

Love Letter to Life 03.15.2022 Results and Treatment

Dear Life, I discuss the blood and scan results with my oncologist at 10:30am. Blood counts, platelets, and neutrophils are down. They need to be higher. I feel fatigue due to this. My body is working hard so I hope we line up the right treatment. I am responsible to maintain my spiritual and emotional sobriety. Be present and believe in positive outcomes even as there are setbacks. Two steps forward, one back. Keep the faith.

Love Letter to Life 03.14.2022 Imaging The Soul

Dear Life, I came across this quote while reading this morning:
“Jung believed that humans produce in art the inner images the soul needs in order to see itself and to allow for transformation”.
I’ve been “imaging” in art for decades and know to trust my intuition when a change is on the horizon. Keep myself open and surrounded by positive influences. Let go of any negativity. Today I go for more blood tests. That’s the important real estate in my life…
my health and well-being.

Love Letter to Life 03.13.2022 Space To Paint

Dear Life, Need a studio to paint. Could be a share. A space fell through so I’m putting a call out to friends in Santa Fe. Does anyone know of an affordable studio space where I set up a table, easel, and paint? Studio at home will remain active for collage and drawing. This is my home studio. I need a place that I can work on walls and get paint on the floors.
Private message me, email or call. Thanks! Create Forward.

Love Letter to Life 03.12.2022 Let My Heart Go Wild

Dear Life, Pet and CT Scans done and Heart Monitor neatly stuck to my chest. Results will be coming in over the next two weeks. Wonder what that monitor will read especially while I play Aggravation with friends! The sobriety celebration continues with friends today. Games and food. Life is good.

Love Letter to Life 03.11.2022 Pet Scan and Heart Monitor

Dear Life, It’s 18 degrees and lightly snowing. In an hour, I go to Xray Associates for a Pet Scan (2 hour procedure) and at 2:00pm Christus Hospital for a heart monitor that I have to wear for two weeks. Fortunately, I’m filled up on the love and well-wishes sent to me yesterday celebrating my 41st sobriety anniversary. Thank you all for being on this journey with me, a day at a time, an hour at a time.
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

Love Letter to Life 03.09.2022 Blood Counts Waver

Dear Life, The blood test results: slightly down. This likely puts me in the “no chemo” Clinical Trial group. I will know next Tuesday when more blood tests are seen and I talk with Dr Herbert, my oncologist. I feel grateful for each day. Right now, I’m excited about the opportunity to paint on a large scale. I’ll be working in a friend’s studio while he travels possibly beginning next week. The prospect of stretching my creativity is exhilarating. Inner landscapes. Studio at home will remain active for collage and drawing. Spring Forward.
