Love Letter to Life 05.29.2021 Scan and Slow Down

Dear Life, I’m grateful to have Pet Scan behind me. The tech talked with me about his fight with cancer. We shared our “miracle” stories and smiled deeply into one another. This is how I get through the immense unknowns and shadows cast by cancer: connection with people and living inside of God. I feel comforted and safe. Peace and love and joy reside here.

Full Moon Guiding Us Home

Love Letter to Life 05.28.2021 Pet Scan Today

Dear Life, A celebratory week with a Super Full Moon. A window opened up within me asking: What are my choices? What do I need and want? What is important to be doing and experiencing along with the medical treatments? Reading a hefty manual “Preparing for Stem Cell Transplantation” is daunting. I am listening to my GPS: God’s Positioning System. Breathe.

Love Letters to Life 27.2021 Magical Full Moon Buddies

Dear Life, Fate would have it for Arlene to stay another day YAY! We took that road trip to Taos. We met a new friend, Michael, and sat outside in a conversation for 3 hours that rolled inward and out, telling stories, affirming dreams, and reframing important questions: “Is this the one?” to the open-hearted inquiry, “Who is this one?” And “Will I swim towards the unknown or back to what I know?” The Full Moon guided us home. Our glowing hearts will continue to guide us. H O M E < L O V E L I F E.

Love Letter to Life 05.26.2021 Be Careful What You Wish For!

Dear Life, The Birthday celebration rolls on with flowers, crowns, gifts, and wishes. Yesterday,I said, ” I don’t want my sister to leave”. Well, alas, her flight is delayed causing problems with her connecting flight in Dallas to NYC. We’ve had an incredible 5 days of fun. Now a snafu. Life you are always listening. I wish for my sister to get home safely and on time. Really!

Love Letter to Life 05.25.2021 Swinging and Urban Gardening

Dear Life, Arlene and I decided on an in-town day, enjoying tacos at Bumblebee’s, walking through a few shops, and driving to OJO Santa Fe where we laid in the grass and swung on the swing. Easy and Fun. Early evening, I felt inspired to do some urban gardening on my terrace. I smiled and said, “I have everything I need”. I do. Thank you.

Two Cakes Birthday Celebration 2021

Love letter to Life 05.21.2021 Happy 72 Rose & Lou

Dear Life, I recently found this wedding photo of my parents. Young beautiful people beginning a new journey. Thank you Mom and Dad for giving life, generosity, style, joy, and love to one another, your family, and community. Mom is still in action, the Hungarian Tank, here on earth while Dad sends us all his love from above. I write this from the comfort of my bed. I am home. My sister is flying through the sky to be with me in Santa Fe. I am happy. Love to all.

Love Letter to Life 05.20.2021 Richard and I In Front of the Hospital Curtain

Dear Life, I woke feeling sad and swollen from the chemicals. Seeing this pic uplifts me. My artist friend, Richard Kurtz visited with me yesterday. Inspiring to talk about our lives and art. He and his talented wife, Jennifer Esperanza, live in Marfa, TX and own a terrific store/gallery. I have enjoyed Marfa and doing an art residency at RULE Gallery. Excellent experience. Today, after chemo treatment, I look forward to going home to my loft. YAY!
