Love Letter to Life 04.24.2022 Modified Road Trip

Dear Life, A friend and I planned a road trip through the Jemez Springs Loop but due to fires we are modifying the route to stay away from the fire zones. Sending positive thoughts and vibes out to all the firefighters, families, earth, and animals being affected by the harsh elements in the southwest: drought, wind and fire.
I love the land of enchantment.

Love Letter to Life 04.23.2022 Year Of Change 2018

Dear Life, A friend sent me this photo taken June 2018 a few months prior to being hospitalized. I had moved into the loft and was traveling. Minor health issues had begun indicating something was going on within my body. But the day this pic was taken, I was blissfully unaware of cancer. I miss my long hair. But with that said, having lost my hair completely twice, I appreciate my new hair with sparkles. It’s growing and so am I.

Love Letter to Life 04.22.2022 Life On Earth

Dear Life, Earth Day. Consciousness of the planet, the biosphere of life, the Universe and the day in 1964 that my “baby” brother, David, was born. Today, I am going to Cafe Fina for brunch with a friend to thank her for taking care of my place while I traveled. Later, I will work in the studio. Collage and paint. I am grateful to be alive, loving my life, and watering the trees around my home. Thank you Body for doing such a great job while traveling. You are a miracle of life.
Yours Truly, Pamela Rose

Love Letter to Life 04.20.2022 Love NYC

Dear Life, I dig the Claus Oldenburg Sculpture in Rockefeller Center, NYC. Now I’m in Laguardia airport after seeing the sun rise en route. Headed home to Santa Fe after a terrific trip.

Love Letter to Life 04.19.2022 Coming and Going

Dear Life, The two weeks I’ve been in NYC and CT have been a rainbow of experiences: visiting with family and friends, seeing art and the Botanical Garden, walking through Central Park and around the lake near my sister’s house in CT, eating many good meals, laughing over stories and living into new ones. Today, Arlene and I drive from CT into NYC where we will have dinner with a dear friend, Greg. Tomorrow I put on wings and fly home to Santa Fe. Whew, it’s been a whirlwind. Grateful.

Love Letter to Life 04.18.2022 New Experiences of Family

Dear Life, Easter 2022 was filled with love, laughter, and a feast of family firsts. Rose told stories to a new audience, Tracy, her first granddaughter, Laurel and Christopher, first great-grandchildren, and Conor, Laurel’s boyfriend. Our family is a Circle of Adoption Stories that continues to enrich our lives. Decades ago, I was told, “Don’t quit before the Miracle”. There have been many miracles since and yesterday was another!

Love Letter to Life 04.17.2022 Munchkins and Midnight Mario

Dear Life, When my brother-in-law Steve refused my offer to buy the Easter ham, I said, “I’ll get you a rabbit then”. There’s many “bunny” stories in our family and yesterday we added a new one: Midnight Mario. I went with Kelsey, Violet, and Max to Agway where we picked out the perfect Bunny. “Surprise Steve!” Max, who turns 6 soon, came up with the name! We colored eggs and today there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and a feast with 16 of us. More photos to follow as the day rolls out. Happy Easter!

Love Letter to Life 04.15.2022 Sunny, Sweet and Sugar

Dear Life, I’m having a great time getting ready for the Easter festivities. Baskets being filled, easter egg hunts, candy galore. Chocolate everything! It’s a frenzy of fun. My eyes are popping out of my head! Resting and sleeping well, too. Another beautiful day in CT with family.
